Q: When can my family start to use the facility?

The facility should be ready by the end of 2017 (target date subject to funding) insha’Allah. Phase 1 funds have been pledged and once donated, construction will commence. We are currently collecting donations relating to Phase 2 of the project and once funds are in place, works will likewise commence imminently.

Q: Can women attend and do women have access anytime?

We will have dedicated facilities for women with a purpose built entrance accessible anytime. For example women can join Jumu’ah, Taraaweeh and ‘Eid congregations as a result of the dedicated spaces.

Q: How do I get to the Masjid?

Walk – It is preferable according to the Sunnah to walk calmly to the Masjid, every step is rewarded immensely Insha’Allah. A main road leads directly from the City Centre into the locality of the Masjid.

Bus – Our central location is very accessible via multiple bus routes and the City Centre Bus Station is conveniently located within a mile from the Masjid Site.

Car – North Road is situated within the small town of Cobridge and generally free spaces are available at different times of the day.

Q: What is the total investment required for completion?

The total investment required is approximately £480,000. This figure has been carefully considered by our Design Professionals consisting of Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Contractors and Builder. Detailed calculations can be provided upon request. This figure has been greatly reduced primarily due to the fact that the land on which the Masjid and Community Centre sits on has been donated.

Q: What role can I play?

The Al Furqan Foundation requires your Dua (prayers), advice and support. Your skills, knowledge and experience are warmly welcomed and will ultimately benefit the community. Q: Why was this location chosen?

It is centrally located within Stoke on Trent, adjacent to the City’s first Independent Muslim School and will play a fundamental role in cultivating the local community based upon the Authentic teachings of the Qur’aan, the Prophetic Sunnah with the understanding of the Righteous Salaf (Pious Predecessors) Insha’Allah.

Q: When can I donate?

Q: Will I see how my Sadaqa will be invested?

The Al Furqan Foundation have always an open and transparent policy with regards to financial affairs and will continue to uphold this transparency with regards to our new project. Regular updates shall be provided via this website.

Q: Have you appointed an Imam?

We are currently in the refurbishment stage and insha’Allah closer to completion we will commit to the best recruitment practice to select an Imam and other members of staff.
