All praise is due to Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the final Messenger Muhammed (ﷺ) and his Noble Companions, his Family and all those who follow this path untill the Day of Judgement.
Our organisation is very keen to promote the methodology of purifying Islam from that which is not from it (known as ‘Tasfiyah’ in the Arabic language) and then cultivating the Muslims upon this purified Islam (known as ‘Tarbiyyah’ in the Arabic language) as it was understood by the first three generations ‘As-Salaf As-Saliheen’ – The Righteous Predecessors.
As is narrated by ‘Aisha (Radiy Allaahu ‘Anha) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said;
“The best of people is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them (i.e. the first three generations of Muslims).”
(Reported by Bukhari and Muslim. Shaykh Al Albaani declares it Hasan in Sahih Al Jaami’ no. 3288)
Masjid al Furqan is based within Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire and is a non-profit organisation set up in the year 2007 in order to call our local community to the worship of Allaah Alone, the All Mighty by means of establishing the 5 daily Prayers, the Friday Sermon, the Taraweh Prayers during the Month of Ramadhan alongside regular Study Circles, Lectures and Conferences in addition to hosting many other community services.
Our call to Islam initially began in 2005 from a very small building. Although it was small, it meant that ‘Ahlus-Sunnah had finally established a small centre within Stoke-on-Trent, calling to the Oneness of Allah alone in His Worship and in the following of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Alhamdulillah. Therefore based upon the statement of the Prophet (ﷺ)
As Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (Radi Allahu‘anhu):
“Whoever does not give thanks to the people does not give thanks to Allaah”
(Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 2/258 – Saheeh).
May Allah reward immensely with goodness the family who allowed us to utilise their building along with our community who supported us.
During the Month of Sha’baan 1428 corresponding to July 2007, Allah granted us a further opening within our community. A disused Church had become available to us. All praise is due to Allah; we rushed to benefit from this opportunity and converted the building into a Masjid for the Sake of Allah.
By the Will of Allah and His Perfect Wisdom we are now in a position to further expand our call to further areas of our community, and have embarked upon the noble task of erecting a Masjid from the foundations.
